It always seems impossible until it’s done.

Be Inspired

At times, athletes need to be inspired as a way to get through hard work and competition. At other times, they need inspiration to dig deeper and find a more spiritual place inside in order to perform well or excel at their sport. The words of Nelson Mandela and his image can be a big inspiration.

Nelson Mandela 2This is a tribute to a person who was not only the first black man to be elected President of South Africa, but a world leader, a civil rights activist, a boxer, a lawyer, and a man who trained and embodied inspiration.

Mandela is a perfect example of grit, perseverance, and hard work. Use his words to inspire you to great triumphs, both mentally and physically. Use his life as an example of the power of hard work and determination.

Words to Inspire You

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.

The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

After climbing a great hill one finds that there are many more hills to climb.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

There is no passion to be found in playing small–in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

Sport has the power to change the world…it has the power to inspire. It
has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.

Face fears, go through them, climb mountains, work hard, and follow your dreams. You will make big things happen.Miracle!!!!!!

Dr. Kris Eiring

About Dr. Kris Eiring

I was introduced to sport psychology when I was competing for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Women’s Track and Field Teams. I believe that it was the combination of my physical training along with some mental training that helped me to compete at the Division I level and be part of an amazing team that won multiple Big 10 championships.

Today, I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Wisconsin and I work with athletes of all levels to help them achieve their goals. There is more to the mental side of training and competing than simply being mentally tough. You also need to be mentally smart. My work is no substitute for a sound physical training program but it is an important element in giving athletes the edge they might need to excel and reach their potential.
